Holiday House Founder, Iris Dankner, was inspired to combine her two passions — interior design and fundraising for breast cancer research — when she saw a lack of high profile interior design events in the New York City area benefitting women’s issues. After its inception in 2008, Holiday House became the first designer showhouse in New York City to benefit a breast cancer organization, attracting talented designers from across the country to transform the historic Academy Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side each fall. Now established as one of the premier showhouses in the country, Holiday House will hold the third annual Holiday House Hamptons at 100 Crescent Ave. in Water Mill this summer 2016, showcasing stylish summer living and entertaining.

One of the things that makes Holiday House special is that each design space is themed around a holiday or special moment in life that inspires the designer. The event is as much about celebrating life as it is about fighting breast cancer.

Proceeds from Holiday House events benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, which was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993 and works tirelessly towards achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer by providing critical funding for innovative clinical research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness bout good breast health.
